FAQ about emergency lock-screen wallpaper
Do I still need a wristband?
We recommend both: physical gear and lock screen complement each other. Wallpaper protects you immediately; a band or card helps when the phone is out of reach.
Do I need an app-store app?
No. You generate the image in the web dashboard and set it as a normal wallpaper — no extra app required.
Is this the same as an ADAC emergency pass?
No. The ADAC pass is a wallet pass with an encrypted QR for rescue software. Our wallpaper is a visible lock-screen image with an online profile — complementary, not identical.
Does this replace Apple or Android Medical ID?
No — use both. OS Medical ID sits behind the emergency menu. The wallpaper is visible without menu knowledge and can be scanned.
Does someone need to unlock my phone?
Usually not: the QR sits on the lock-screen image. Scannability depends on the device and notifications — that is why we use safe-zone placement.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Save the PNG and set it as the lock-screen wallpaper in settings. Pick a format in the dashboard that matches your device.
